Been reading some posts for a while and decided to join up and share among the community. I have a 2001 VFR800 and I was considering getting a new bike but after reading some stories here I think there isn't a better bike bike out there to own. I have a givi top box, bagster tank bag, Sargent seat, staintune high rise pipe, heated hand grips, carbon hugger and chain guard, want to add throttle lock and high screen. Owned my bike about 5 years coming up to 6. Helmet is a Schuberth flip with scala G4 where I have improved the speakers in e helmet. I am hoping to get some advice and give some also in this forum. Hi vfroz, welcome, sounds like you're all set up to tour around on that big island you live on. I'm interested in the speaker mod you did to the G4, I keep having to replace the speakers on mine, I do really like the unit though.

Hi, thanks for the welcome, I bought a pair of headband speakers from a Qantas duty free book on a flight about a year ago, not sure what the brand is now, but, I think if you google Koss headphones or YouTube it there is a guy who changed his with Koss headphones, as long as you can use a soldering iron you should be ok, mine have more bass now and a better dynamic range but not perfect but I have never used max volume, it's not a hard mod to do, the scala G4 is a bit big for todays modern electronics so I might update if I can justify it. Just done a trip and it was great to have the GPS instructions come over the music and tell me where to go. Let me know if I can assist you in any way, happy riding.
