I've searched, but am coming up empty...

Anyone have suggestions for rear and/or front & rear stands for my bike? I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I am willing to pay a little extra for high-quality stands. Most of the stands I see advertised use "spools" and I'm pretty sure my bike doesn't have provisions for these.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers.

Give T-Rex a call. Really, just call them. I ordered a set and then ordered the optional steering stem attachment off eBay. A day later I got a call from them and they told me that it would be cheaper to buy the set with the steering stem attachment and with my permission they would refund a portion of my money back to my paypal account. How is that for service?

I use the front and rear stands I bought for my CBR954 (has spools) for my wife's Ninja 500 (no spools). My rear stand has reversible rear stand adapters to work with either spooled or non-spooled bikes.

It looks like the newer ones have a removable rear stand adapter.

For basic use, many riding friends have had good luck with the Harbor Freight stands and I've used a set from Black Widow Sportbike Stands Set of 2 - $79.99 - Kit #2 for many years with no issues, and they use both spool and flat pad type lift mounts. Paid under $100 shipped for both stands.

Just an update. For fathers day, my wife splurged and got me the Universal T-Rex Front and Rear Motorcycle Stands after I did more research. The good news is the stands arrived quickly and seem to me made of very high quality standards and materials. The units are rock solid and beefy. The bad news is that the rear stand doesn't quite fit my bike. Sigh. The extensions that reach in from both sides to grab the rear axle are too short by about 1-2 inches per side. Fortunately, I have a welder and some bar stock I can use to extend the pieces, which I will do next weekend when I get back from my current biz trip. A little annoying (especially given how pricey these units were) but it's not the end of the world, and I'll end up with some very nice stands.

Thanks to all who weighed in on this topic. I appreciate it.
