Carbon Fiber Restoration

    So this isn't entirely VFR related in my case, but can be for others with carbon fiber pieces on their bike.
    Ok, so today I attempted a test run on the subject at hand (Mazda Protege5 CF hood) since it's badly oxidized and just miserable to look at.
    My method is the poor mans way of things.. 600/1500/2000 grit wet sandpaper, Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, and LOTS of elbow grease.
    The small area turned out almost crystal clear! So tomorrow I'm starting the entire hood and will post up results.
    If anyone else has performed this type of CF restoration please give a shout out on tips and tricks!

    Keep in mind that on the hood - you're not restoring the CF, but the clearcoat on top of it.
