So I got an email today that Airtech is having a 25% off sale, which is awesome because i'm in the market for a new tail and ... well just about a whole new set of plastics.

But as you all may know they sell race fairings so I would have to cut out slots for lights and such, or will I. for the Tail light and the Indicators, do you think if I got a bunch of LED strips (Red for break and running light, yellow for indicators) that I could just attach the LED's on the outside of the tail and ride around like that? I'm thinking it should work. I would have to cut out a hole up front for the head lights and I'm thinking going RC30 and putting two large circular head lights in there, One high beam one standard. In my head it looks awesome but what do you guys think.

The bottom line is I need new plastics and this is a great deal 25% off brings it from $880+/- to $660+/- (USD) and I can't get used damaged plastics for that cost. So i'm thinking that this is the way to source plastics, and if I can go with out hacking it up to bad then I still have a nice bike for when I decide to go to the track

Legally I don't think it would be ...legal. Be cause the led lights aren't dot approved. But it all depends on how big of A holes the cops in your area are.

YMMV but I've seen LED's done before. As long as they are automotive / motorcycle grade and not some cheap eBay Taiwan stuff. These ones from Fleda are sweet!

Question 1, LED's. Yes, they can be installed and legal, just make sure you meet inspection guidelines in your state.

Question 2, RC30 or RC 45 fairings. Yes, they'll fit, but you'll have to go to much lower clip-ons to fit or get real creative with master cylinders, etc. Ypu'll need some kind of support, ala RC30 or 45, or make your own.

Been some really cool conversions like that. I saw one from Australia with 3 front lights. Looked awesome. Pics required.

Go to Tyga and see what they got before you do Airtech (Airtech is cool though too!)
