    Hi,

I am from Seattle, WA. Had my VFR1200 since last year (2012). Bought it from dealer with 2000 miles on it. Runs very well. I like riding this bike.

Recently I wanted to install Power Commander V on this bike. For that I open top and side fairings. Then I observed that the a sqeaky noise coming under tank. Sounds like some pressure leak or something. I do not have any mechanical knowledge, so could not tell what that sound is.
I checked for any leaks, vent pipes for any pinching or squeezing, but nothing found like that.

This noise comes only after ignition switch is turned on. It doesnot comes without ignition switch turned on though the Key is turned on.

Did anybody face this problem and if yes, what could be the issue?
Appreciate your responses. Here is the youtube link for the video I recorded. You can hear the sound.

Sounds like space invaders boss! Hello and welcome to the forum. I am not experienced on the 7th gen whatsoever, so I hopefully one of the veteran 7th gen riders will pop on here.

Do you still have the warranty on it?

My bike does the same. As do the others, it's all normal, bike does all these self tests, priming fuel rails, throttle by wire self check before it fires up, when I bought my bike a Honda tech had pulled 5 of these bikes out of the crates to prep them ,as he explained to me that he himself was a bit mystified so he called mother Honda up and he was told that it's all a part of the launch sequence, kinda like the Space shuttle before take off!! Just smile and go with it...

It was not making this noise earlier. Recently I tried to install Power Commander V on that. So I popped up fuel tank. I think it started that time. I contacted Dynojet people. They said it is not bcas of Power Commander. They asked to check the fuel vents for any pinching or sqeezing. But I did not find any issue with the vents.
yesterday I took appointment with mechanic anyway, got one after two weeks. I will let you know what they found.

Normal sound, you are hearing the vacuum. I thought it was something wrong as well and it's not, just the normal noise it's supposed to make. They all do it. I posted a similar question/thread not long ago about it because I was concerned also.

Thanks a lot.. That gives much relief. I was not riding this bike for last two weeks bcas of this concern. I was feeling like a psycho without riding this for two weeks :) .... By the way, Power Commander V with Two brothers Slip-on is awesome.... Makes sweet sound while riding and very responsive.....
