I have just purchased a NOS solo cover for my 84 1000f. I would really appreciate some pics of the hardware needed to mount this. I think I can figure something out if necessary but pics from someone would be a big help. 031.jpg

If it is like other tails you should have holes on either side(towards the front of it)that line upwithholesinthe seat. Screws go in the holes and it looks like a lock on the top...that should corespond with another hole....

Same as the 750. Bracket and lock receptor. They have a special screw for the hing. I lost one of mine so now I use to allen head bolts.

No you won't find them at all most likely. They were not a stock product per se. They were options at the time. I believe options were handled differently and had their own books.

I've never seen the ancillary lock parts or supports for sale. Most people don't know what comes with the tail cover and never take the supports or what ever off for resale. If your a handy kind of guy you should be able to make the brackets easy enough. It's the lock parts you'll have to figure out. Just use the pics as a guide.

Thanks Grey, I think I can use some cut off handles to secure the tail and then start looking at fitment for the cowl to the original tail.
most of the questions will answer themselves once I get to that stage, but thats not my main priority right now. Need to get it up and running first.
