Hi folks, I bought a wingrack 2 kit used on ebay and the package is missing a few nuts and bolts. Most of those I can find at the hardware store but the one thing I can't is #12 in the attached image

It is just labelled "Special nut" with no size info.

Givi is not much help as they don't make that kit anymore.

Anyone have any pictures of it or have size information about it?

    Thanks!

I substituted a longer pin in the passenger peg with a brass flanged bushing pressed into the Givi bracket and cut down to the length I wanted. Then added a washer on the bottom with a cotter pin. Worked great for 2 years.

All loads on that connection would be pushing forward. Basically a shear load on the bushing. So the press fit I did held together great and the bracket never tried to come apart from the mount location.

I'm having flashbacks from my childhood. I've been accused of that in the past and it was never meant as a good thing.

    Tinkerin,

It's a year after you posted this, but I'm writing to say thanks for the good pictures. I'm in the same situation Hypnotoad was, Googled for help and came across this post. I like your solution and can't see why it wouldn't work.

The pictures made the thread. Thanks.

    Chuck
