Howdy! My name is Mark. Thought I would introduce myself since I am a new member on this site.
Old rider (cruisers and dirt bikes) and shade-tree wrench.
I am "baby-sitting" my sons '86 VFR500 and it has developed a inconvenient problem.
The tire valve stems leak (one broke off in my hand), so thought it best to do my homework to be sure I fixed them right. [JIC]
This looks like a great site, and THE place to find out about all things VFR.

    Howdy Mark,

Welcome to the site. You'll find lots of great information here.

Whereabouts in Texas? I'm a huge Aggie fan from San Antonio.

Perhaps we can meet up and ride sometime.

    Rich

If the stem valve broke time for a new one. How old is the tire? Might want to replace them as the same time.
Make yourself like at home

    Thanks for the welcome.
I live just north of San Antonio (Bulverde area).
You might say I'm kind of schizo - I went to A&M ('69-'70) but graduated from UT (UTSA-HSC).
@scubalong - glad to see I'm not the only one that likes to ride dinasaurs.

That would be great to get together for a ride. I've been hoping to be able to get out and ride "the 3 sisters" and/or visit the M/C Museum in Vanderpool this summer.

There has to be at least five Aggie jokes each about valve stems and riding dinosaurs.

    Coogs and Owls here.
