    HI Guys,

Had a dam ass reverse into me today and although no visual damage is present, I have a shudder on brake lever when breaking, there is also a faint scraping sound. I fear that one of the discs may have been bent, the noise is only present when braking not while the bike is in motion.

Can you advise what is the best thing to do? How can I indentify what is causing the problem and how can I resolve it? Had a look for replacement discs and wouldn't say they are cheap, but do I have to replace it or can it be fixed.

Please advise, my bike is my life..... any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Sorry to hear what happened :( bloody people!

I take it it is only the front wheel? How did they hit you?
If it was me I would take the front wheel off and check everything for possible damage. Check the pads and the calipers.
With the feeling that the brakes pulsate or shudder when you pull on the brake then it sounds that you have a warped disc. But it could be something simple where simply taking things off and giving them a clean and a grease and putting them on again will solve.
Unless it was a full on smack straight onto the front wheel then you have problems witht he forks?! Hopefully just a tap in the wrong place.
Hope you and rest of bike okay.

Thanks for that, its a good thing we were both completely static, then he started to reverse slowly, I hit the horn, (should have revved instead it would have been louder!!) Honda horns are crap he just kept creeping back. I was still on the bike so started to back up and I think it was just a push on the actual disc. Will take your advise and take the front end off. Dont think its the forks as she still is as responsive as ever while on the move, its just when i hit the pull the lever. Will go for a short ride after work and see how bad it really is, other than that, the bike and me are all okay, thanks! Will keep you posted!

I know its a bit late on the post. All fixed, took the front week off and with a lot of patience and a dial indicator and a couple of friends, managed to knock the disc back to its original shape. Its now better than ever, no wobble at all. In any case, I'm planning a lot of mods and changes for the bike. Noticed the pads have not much life left, so when I change that I will also fit some wavvy discs to it.
