Looking at buying a 2002 VFR800 from a used bike shop. HOWEVER, the aftermarket exhaust is a single exit exhaust???? Is that possible without any negative affects? I have only seen after market dual exhaust...never single...I assumed there was a reason for that? Here is a picture of it....

Two Bros exhausts are all 4:1 exhausts. They do come with a fake muffler for the left side but it is purely cosmetic and isn't actually attached to anything. What has happened here is that the owner just hasn't bothered to attach the dummy can.

In short: there's nothing wrong with it.

We made a lot of jokes when that exhaust system came out referring to it being ideal for a drug dealer. The fake left can has a storage bin.

I saw a BMW K75RS with an extra muffler. The guy made an extra fuel tank out of it. If you didn't know the K's had a single muffler you wouldn't even suspect the other as a fake.

I think nearly all modern bikes have two exhausts just for reduced noise. Hence why if you get an older bike of the same model they have 1 exhaust.

Hopefully they have the other can because I think it looks really silly with just the one. I just finished rigging a set of R1 cans on mine and left the left side one as a dummy can and it runs great with no problems at all.

I have the Two Bros on my '09 and I don't feel there's anything wrong with it. Sure sounds good! If you think about it, the 3/4/5 Gens are 4 into 1 (slight variations on the combining) but the 6 Gens are 4 into 1 into 2.
