I like to think of this bike as 70% sport and 30% touring.
If this FPR works out all I'll need is a proper exhaust and I'll be content. This seemed to a popular mod years ago as all the info on it is older, I wonder why it fell to the wayside?
Yeah some people have unrealistic expectations with this bike's performance, but some people do the same with the touring side.
No one ever gets told to "fuck off" when they drop big money on factory hard bags, seats, heli risers, or want the brakes de-linked.

The super charger requires aboot 70 psi in the rail, this is a stock regulator that has been modified by depressing the center of the regulator to desired pressure.

exactly, It took me a long time to get into what mod's to do and not do, but the great thing about vfr's are that you can customize it the way you want and how you want to, I like to think that no matter how much sport mod's I do the touring will always be there when I get older or need it. I'm still finding new mod's I can do to her everyday and I wanna do all of them lol.

The blackbird FPR does not fit. I found a picture of 6th gen TBs and it looks like the BB FPR would fit 6th gen but it doesn't fit 5th gen, at least on my 98. My FPR is male threaded and the BB is female threaded and much larger. You would really have to get creative and have some kind of adaptor that probably wouldn't fit due to the frame rail clearance. This was a complete PITA. When I first got the bike and changed the air filter I thought to myself "wow it looks like a complete PITA to get that lower airbox off." I was spot on with that assessment. It was also a complete PITA to get the FPR off. It needed a combination of bending the nipples to clear the choke and screwing and unscrewing the idle screw when it made a pass.
I didn't want to go through all this crap and leave empty-handed, so I "modded" the current FPR by using a calibrated hammer :rolleyes:and socket and gave it a couple wacks to indent it a few mm. There is a thread on this on VFRD that I can't currently find at the moment. It should be fine but I think I'll have a winter project of T-ing the line and hooking up a Fuel pressue gauge to really see if smashing it worked and what the current FPR is.
