hey all 93 RC36 40-50k on it. Just did starter clutch swap, oil change and filter, and coolant flush. On the road for a few days so far. . .Noticed that my fan isn't turning on at all. Now I don't have a way to measure the engine temp, but I was running the bike hard on a 30 minute commute in 90f+ weather, so I assume that everything got up to running temp.Bike has no cluster gauges or temp lights, so no cues there. That being said, Can I hook the fan up directly to a battery to test it? the prop spins freely, no obstructions, checked fan fuse If it's the fan I'll replace it, but my guess is more likely its the thermostat, at which point I'd like to just bypass it with a fan switch. with a bypass switch, do I need to pay attention to amperage on fan circuit? or voltage? any things to be aware of when installing the switch? This will be my first installation of this nature, so any insight is appreciated.
I disconnected fan from harness and plugged directly to battery (+) and ground. The fan didn't turn on. My thought was that this meant the fan motor failed. i'll go through and burp cooling system again, if properly burped, would I notice the fan turn on once up to temp?.
