Had "Hippo-Hands" on a Nighthawk, got off bike and musta hit the kill switch, came back out, bear in mind, dead of winter, 30 degrees only to crank the bike till it almost had a flat battery. Figured it out adventrually, fact that the controls were covered up with those handle bar muffs did'nt help. Thank gawd for south FL and no-more winters!

Honda is the only company to have their kill-switch still turn over their bikes, not that this is a bad thing...

Might not be a motorcycle KILL SWITCH issue but while I was at work today I had to run down to the local Toyota dealer to pick up a new Tacoma 4x4 with a dent in the door that needed repairing. When I got there one of the lot attendants was moving a few cars around and there was a 2011 Camry Hybrid in front of the truck I needed to fix. I went to move it and the lot kid yelled at me to wait because the battery was dead and it needed a boost. While he went in to get the booster pack I got in the car and opened the hood and looked at the dash display and everything was lit up like a Christmas tree. Put my foot on the brake, selected drive and moved the car out of the way. When the lot kid came out he was shocked that I was able to move the car and asked how I got it to move cause he had tried a bunch of times to move it and even tried boosting it and all to no avail. He had finally taken the booster pack in to the shop to let it charge thinking maybe the booster pack was dead. I told the kid, "Nope battery in the car is fine, but the car was a hybrid so when you push the start button, the engine will not start unless it needs extra power."

The kid just looked at me and said, "DOOOH, well I've only been here a week and had yet to move a hybrid car, so he didn't realize the car wouldn't start." He thanked me for helping him figure it out because apparently all the salesman had just watched him run back and forth a couple of times and just snickered and laughed, wondering when he would figure it out. I told him that I had been there once. Nothing more embarrasing than trying to boost a hybrid only to realize that it's not really dead.

Saved my buddy a bunch of money for the same thing.... He called me over to his house to help him push his ATV that he has had for a couple of years up onto a truck bed. He stated it wouldnt start and he was going to take it to the Honda shop for repairs. After the 4th time trying to shove this heavy beast up some ramps we gave up. He went to his garage to get a come a long and some rope to help get it up on the bed. As he left I noticed the kill switch was flipped. So I disengage it and drove around to his barn where he was at. After I told him what I did his response.... "What kill switch???"

Ya'll are a bunch of idgits. Makes me reel smeally fart. I ain't never dun nutting dum.

At work once I was troubleshooting a servo on a machine. I connected the laptop cable and watched the most bizarre actions a servo has ever made. Periodically the feedback would shoot up to where it was supposed to and then return to its home position, while I was staring at the servo that never moved. Finally realized someone had turned on the wireless and I was actually monitoring a machine 2 machines away. Smart Alecs found out and posted a sign up sheet for a class to be taught by me entitled "How to troubleshoot an apexer while connected to the wrong machine." I got the last laugh when somebody signed up to take the class that was a fellow instrument tech. The sheet disappeared real quick and I can still get the smarty to blush if I mention it.

Last year I was running up and down the pits at NJMP-Thunderbolt trying to get the TZ125 to start. Well after running about 3 f-ing miles (it felt like) and the smoker would not start my buddy finally says: "Hey, is your plug cap off or something?" I pull the tank and WTH!?!?! The spark plug cap was disconnected. I put it on, run 10 feet and ring-a-ding-ding!

Some say two-strokes are unreliable. I don't know if thats entirely true, but I can tell you the owner sure is!

Watched my brothers friend kick his dirt bike till he was blue in the face. They were just about to start stripping the carb ect when they realised the butt-plug was still in the exhaust.

It is not so much that you forget to wear underwear. It is that you realize how much nicer it is to skip it.

The same buddy who asked me if the cap was off was the same one who pushed his TZ250 up and down the pits till blue in the face when a stranger asked: "Are those bright orange plugs supposed to be in the tail pipes"?

After shit like that, you don't even want to ride.

Happened to a friend on a group ride, he was riding his then brand new GSXR1000KLO when half way through country twisties he pulled over in front of me saying it suddenly conked out mid corner and was unable to get it re-started. By the time I'd rounded everyone up and back to his position he'd got it started again mumbling incoherently about hating Winter Gloves and bloody Kill switches then quickly took off.

I got up at 4:30 am got all showered up and dressed in my clean scent free hunting outfit only to find the atv wont start so after killing the battery I start pulling the rope start back up, after a few minutes of this I am sweating profusely and no longer scent free "if I ever was" so I take a break and double check the position of the key in the switch, thats when I notice the Kill Switch. I went hunting anyhow but needless to say I was late getting in the woods.

I thought I had a chain crimping tool.

Didn't lock the master link, broke the chain and smashed everything around the front sprocket also putting a large hole in the side of the case and dumping oil all over the road.

Rebuilt the area with new parts, thought I spilt the oil all over the road turns out I only lost about a 1qt so I've ridden about 800mi with 5qt of oil in the bike.

    Seems like I can't catch a break.
