Hello from Hawaii, formerly of Alaska. I actually joined some time back, lurking and reading, way back in 09, when I had a VF1000F in my shop, came here to read on how to fix some things with it. Turns out, not so different in many ways from my other V4s, of course. Had a1985 VF 1100 S Sabre since 1989, has 200k miles on it, been from Anchorage to Prudhoe to Mexico city and other destinations throughout the years. I stil have the Sabre, and a parts sabre, in storage in Alaska, but want to ship all my stuff here to Hawaii- just costs alot for the amount of stuff I have- over 15 bikes in storage there. of various brands and completion.

I am looking at two VF1000 Fs here in Hawaii, one on "Da Big Island" where I live, a runner with good title, but needing complete restore due to harsh conditions for corrosion we have here, and another, well, parts bike in Honolulu I am seeing on Tuesday.

I hope to make an R bike in the future. I sell and flip most of my bikes, but once I get an R, it's a keeper for me, along with my Z1 900 B and my V65 Sabre. My other "holy grail" bike is a GPZ 750 Turbo. Pretty much all other bikes I "flip".

I have a 91 GXSR 1100 that I might keep, dunno at this point. Otherwise, I have choppers. street fighters and cafe bikes in various states of repair that I need to get over here and sell to keep my habit going LOL

Hi and a warm welcome (back) to the MadHouse:welcome:.

15 bikes is quite a fleet! When you get a chance post up some pictures - sounds like some of you're bikes will stand out from the crowd.

Aloha, there's a few VFR members on the islands and one that was pretty active for a while who lives on Da Big Island too, he went off to learn how to fly helicopters. Haven't ridden a MC over there but been to the islands many times, sometimes for work, sometimes for play. I gotta say not too many states that have what the islands offer, Da Big Island in particular, kinda reminds me of CA with all the different micro environments, desert, coasts, mountains, volcanoes (CA has some too, mostly dormant). Anyway as others have said, impressive number of bikes, but without pics, it's all hearsay:wink:

No problemo! I just lost a huge post with a ton of pics, so I am going to post three pics per post and go from there LOL

I rode year around in Alaska, with studded tires on my V65, and this ride was special- it was with a biker global celebrity known as R1 Sjaak- he was riding to Prudhoe in the winter, we were showing him how we did it in Alaska:

Here it was in the yearly bike show- keep in mind, this bike has 200k HARD and winter miles on it!

A KZ750, KZs and Z1s are kinda my thing for a long time, mostly because there are a lot of them in Alaska- I don't own this one anymore- but it was beyond basket case and came in the shop with no wheels, forks and hadn't ran in 20 years- but had a clean title!

This was the customer's F that led me to this site BTW:

My 1975 Z1 900 B I have had since 1982. I was 17, came up with this monochromatic paint scheme back then LOL
