Hello and thank you in advance.
97 vfr, the connection from can to mid pipe is separated and was hoping to get advise on repair. Two Brothers can.
Seems the pipe that would connect to mid pip is missing. I am guessing this would need a cap and pipe welded on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this was how I purchased the bike.
    Thanks
    Greg

That looks nothing like the TBR slip-on that I have. Mine has cast aluminum end caps.

Honestly, I would suggest you try and find a new (or used) slip-on and replace the whole thing. It will probably cost less than taking that pipe to a welder and getting it fixed.

Yeah that exhaust does not look like it belongs there.
The strain on the weld from the poor fitment most likely caused the break.

My confusion i have 2 bikes apart. The can is a Supertrapp. It came with the bike along with the stock can. I'm trying to get this bike sorted out. The previous owner said it was jetted but I've not looked in the carbs yet to prove. I'll check the needle to verify on that. The bike runs great, idles, revs no lean spots, no hesitation. Just have not seen a supertrapp on these type of bikes.
If the carb is stock I'll go back to the stock unit but if it has been jetted is it best to then look at new cans?
Appreciate the time and feed back.
