SORRY for the late response guys, He finished it yesterday and I went and picked it up,he only charged me $100 for picking bike up, fixing the problem and doing the alarm wich I was very happy about, only thing is he didn't put tail fairing on right, and put the antenna on the lisence plate tail now how the fu** does that make sence lol the point of an alarm is that no one see's it and can't cut any wires so I had to fix those things and after that I stoped @ a gas station to get some gas before I got on the hyw well when I started riding I felt my tank bouncing and this dumbshit didn't bolt my tank down,really......reeeeally besides electrical I have more skills than this guy who said "I've been doing this for over 30yrs" he could've killed me if I didn't notice the tank,I think I'm gonna be the only one that messes with my baby for now on,and I know ya'll are gonna call me a dumbass but TUES I'm having him fix power commander and fix the remote start on the alarm, but I'm gonna be there and it's an appointment so after that I'm done with this guy,but I'm gonna check a lead on another guy a friend told me about first

    Thanks for the update -

You are brave to offer him more work!
I think you need to heed the warning - OK the guy might be able to fix electrical stuff but is a real liability putting the bike back together safely. You better take a tool kit with you on Tuesday, and spend time checking stuff is safe before heading home or paying the bill.

Good idea to follow up other contacts - you never know when you need plan B and if he sounds sensible then I would never let the first fella near you bike again.

    Take care

If I were you I would get any book file or program available for your bike and do your work yourself. I have had no training and so far I have successfully fixed an 82 cb650, 85 vf1000r 80's Kawasaki klr and many more. Not only is it cheaper but the time you put into your bike and effort makes it that more special to you when you get on it and tell the world to get lost.

I love doing my own work but he's not even touching my bike he's gonna be doing the power commander and I know what you mean, you cuss the hell out of it when you fixing it but feel that much closer to it when it's done, like to day I did a new clear coat on her with some white pearl in it and she's blacked out with airbrushed metal rips in her so I'm hoping that pearl will set her off,but back to the pc is was doing fine then I changed maps and that's when the fi light came on so I'm going to load a new map with an older computer or go to dealership and have them load it and see if it stays on then I'll see what my options are about fixing it.

I would check the main fuses under your panel, where ever it is located. I was doing some work on my bike, and blew the 30amp starter relay fuse, replaced it, and all was well again.
