    Hi Guys

I have a 4th gen (95) and i am trying to find out the fork diameter so i can order some apex clip ons.

I have looked in the service/repair manual downloaded from here and the owners manual but i cant find any reference to the fork diamater, does anybody know what it is?

Also does anybody have the Apex clipons on a 4th gen and what do you think about them, i am looking at a 3" riser set did you have to alter cables etc to install them.

Thanks in advance for any help and opinions.

Be very, very careful with all those motorcycle encyclopedia sites. They are full of lies. It's very apparent that they are just collating other information published on the internet and the info has not come from factory sources. They propagate errors published elsewhere. They are particularly bad at separating the various years/generations of models; that is, getting the new data into the correct release year.

One case in point: that site says there's no front suspension adjustment on my '96, but it has adjustable preload. It says rear is adjustable preload, but doesn't mention the adjustable damping. Which makes me wonder what else about the suspension is incorrect?

You just can't trust 'em. I don't use those sites for any reason that involves me parting with cash, or even planning work.
