So I was giving the Viffer a once over yesterday, took the seat off, and saw that the plastic cowl that fits over the back seat has been rubbing against the plastic on the back of the bike just aft of the seat, it rubbed all the paint off and now the area right behind the seat looks pretty ratty, especially for a 2007 bike that is 1.5 months old!!
Has this chafing ever happened to anyone else? Is touchup paint available? Do you think I should bring it back to the dealer?
It seems like a warrantee deal to me since the seat cover was on correctly as was the seat. Brand new parts arent supposed to wound each other in their intended configuration!

That fit does not sound right! However, I noticed that my cowl was pretty close to the tail piece and to avoid any possible chafing, I stuck some race face on the tail piece just as a precaution.

I recon try the warranty route first as it shouldn't chafe. It's no use touching it up just to have it chafe again!
