I was looking for some work to do earlier this week and as I was wondering around the local Toyota dealers lot I came across this interesting side car machine. The first time I saw this Triumph side car it was in early April and it was shod with winter tires. I noticed when looking at it that it had heated grips and a heated seat. The bike is a Triumph (Tiger) and it has some rather serious looking after market suspension components. One of the more interesting things I noticed was the rear sprocket drive assembly. The rear sprocket actually has a chain that allows the rear drive assembly to power both the rear wheel of the motorcycle as well as the wheel on the side car. There are actual car tires at all three corners and a full size spare just in case. I'm not a huge Triumph fan normally but this was certainly a cool looking alternative to the winter duldrums suffered for most of us northern VFR owners. I thought it might be worth sharing.
