I always wondered that as well. Seems a little paranoid. Nice plate by the way, and so if I happen to see it on a ride I'll know that It's you!

I agree with you Duc about people going through the trouble of blurring out their plates. Personally I don't give a shit. Only people/place I don't want to see my plates if I can avoid it is the toll cameras. But that is another thread.

I just have never been a fancier of personalized plated. I guess each to their own. But it is interesting to see them and try to guess what they may mean. Some are less obvious than others.

Some plates custom or not are blanked out because they are scams. Another reason is that anyone with access to a DMV data base can find the name and address of an owner who could have a missing bike.

Also if ya need to make a statement, it's a lot less money to just have a liscense plate bracket engraved.

What then does BBs bracket say? " I wish you were shopping at Nordstrom"

I run this plate on my Jokermobile. Pretty much self explanatory.

I run this plate on my Ducati 900SS. My late brother John was actually the inspiration behind this plate, and like most things I do it was originally done as a joke Duccmann.

When I got my first bike,a 1980 Honda CB750F,I installed a big pair of Orange Showa decals on the fork sliders and a few HRC decals on the tail section. I showed the bike to my brother and asked him what he thought. He said to me "It looks like one of those racer bikes." So of course me being the smart-ass I just HAD to go down to the DMV straight away and get that plate.
I installed it and showed it to my brother and asked him again what he thought. He laughed out loud and sarcastically said "Nice going dumb-ass! Now THAT will neeeever get you noticed by the police will it." I had to laugh.

I ran this plate on my '80 CB750F,my '86 VFR700,and my '97 VFR750. After my brother passed away I briefly considered retiring the plate but I decided not to and kept it as a reminder of a private joke and a hearty laugh that I once got to share with my brother.
