The surprise comes when ya pop the tops off to add some fluid and ya see all that crap in the bottom of the tank. Don't ask how I know this. Yep, I now call them tanks after about five tries at spelling that damn French word for tank. Nothing worse than a French Spelling Gendarme.

Not quite. Putting greens are made with bent grass and mine is mostly Kentucky blue grass. I don't have the right lawn mower for bent grass. But here's the pix of my front yard anyways seeing as you asked:

One picture is worth a thousand words. I am glad to see that hanging our with all those dudes from California has added to your grass expertise.

Then we got the Canadian couple of normal genders visiting the home country and remarking to the estate groundskeeper that the lawns were amazing and questioning how they got that way. (The appropriate "eh's" should be included in the telling to a Canadian audience) The grounds keeper also of normal gender, replies that the lawns are regularly mowed and watered for 300 years.

Me da an avid golfer had a two hole putting green and a driving net installed in the back yard of our home. The net served a dual purpose. Birds would fly into it and stun themselves and my folk' s cat would be there for dinner.

    God, what a great thread!!!!

Nobody has mentioned what the reason is for not having the oil TOO HIGH Or TOO LOW.

    I will try to explain!

TOO LOW = somewhere BELOW the lower line in sight guage. Probably pretty far below the line! If oil level is below the level of the Oil Pick-up it can not send oil to the pump or the rest of the engine. This equals oil starvation and the end of your engine. PERIOD! When the pick-up can no longer suck up oil the OIL LIGHT will come on due to a lack of pressure.

TOO HIGH = Somewhere above the line in the sight guage, again probably pretty far above the line. If the oil level is too high it will be higher than the bottom of the spinning crankshaft. This will cause the oil to foam. Oil foam is mostly air! If your oil pump pumps foam instead of oil, again your engine will starve for lubrication and again the end of your engine!

BOTTOM LINE - Keep your engine oil above the oil pick-up and below the bottom of the crank. Hense the two lines in the sight guage or the two lines on the dipstick. Any where between the two lines will be JUST FINE!

Im sure, by design, there is a large "Fudge Factor" as to how far above or below the line you will be safe, but I am unwilling to test it. Just keep it between the lines!

OR..........Just do it the way that makes you happiest. And remember "Crap Oil" is better than "No Oil"!

I'm just going to add this as to why it might not be coming out right for you. When you change the oil, drain it on the sidestand. You'll get more of the old oil out that way as the drain is on the left side of the bike and it slopes down towards it. After that, continue doing that you're doing and everything should be perfect.

Got one of those at work. Useless piece of crap. The old dinosaur borescope we have from the late '80s does a much better job, but sometimes you just can't fit it where you need it because it's not a flexible shaft like the newer one. Of course with the newer one, you can tell there's a valve in that there cylinder...you just can't tell what kind of shape it's in.

My parties are always held on the front lawn reading poetry and singing pleasant songs while sipping exotic teas. Come on and join in.
