I went to town for a meeting, wore nice clothes under leathers, mounted the hardbags so I could store my leathers and gloves while in the meet. Mine are the oem hardbags, came with the bike. Worked great.

I took the long way home, hit a bunch of curves and also some straights at up to 130.

It seemed like I could feel a little more drag at speed. Do you guys notice more wind resistance with the bags on?

Is there a top speed the bags are rated for? I guess at this point I can say that empty bags don't get ripped off the bike at 130 indicated, but it would still be good to now if they have a top recommended speed.

    Thx.

I don't know if I notice the wind resistance, but I definitely notice the weight when they're loaded. As far as speed goes, those cases are mounted pretty solid on there and doubt they'd be affected by the speed.

Most of my spirited riding is with the bags because the only way I find nice roads is to ride far away from where I live. I'm pretty sure the only times I have dragged pegs has been with the bags on.

Other than a bit of added weight of all the stuff I pack into them, I don't even notice the bags are there. Any speed, any type of riding, don't worry about them.

Just be careful how you load them side bags. Had something shift on me once, at speed, on an exit ramp. pretty good pucker going on there.

I've done 140+ with empty side bags and top case with no issues. As long as you've got them locked shut, they will not come off. Even when I wrecked last year the bag shattered but still stayed attached to the bike.
