    I think alot of people underestimate the 500 and some are just realizing what kind of bike it really is. It's was way ahead of it's time I wish I was old enough to own one in the 80's when they where the sh!t.

    I just bought a new cowl on ebay for $21.00 no cracks and mounting tabs are still intact. I plan on a new paint job after this season, i just dont know if i want to keep it original or go one color.

    welcome to the site. I know what you mean about the paint. the stock paint is pretty sharp, though... Mine is the one with a maroon then white and blue. I don't like it quite as much as the bright red, white and blue...but it's still pretty sharp

    I think the RWB is classic but I'm kinda glad mine needed paint because it looks bad ass in flat black. I get more people staring and trying to figure out what it is than any other bike I've ridden. Even the bike guys look it over and ask questions.
