So lately I have really been lusting over a 2007 Anniversary Edition.....I remember falling in love with them when they came out! I LOVE my 2000 and I have it set up perfect with a Sargent Seat and Daugherty suspension, mosfet reg, etc. etc. but I wouldn't mind either trading or selling it for the 2007 cause I also like the Hardbag option, etc.

Would I regret that ya think or should I leave well enough alone? One problem is actually finding a nice one within a few hundred miles of Chicago, hehe:cool:

Its normal. I get those same thoughts about selling my 5thgen. I worry to much about the regret of losing what i have instead of the fun im going to have with the new bike. I think about getting an rc 51or superhawk and of course a 6th gen. I believe i could regret switching from my vfr to one of the twins no matter how much fun they would be for a while. But i think if i went to another newer vfr it would be hard to not love the new one. Good luck

I always liked the 6th Gen since it came out, but I didn't pull the trigger on it until the 2007 came out. I had to have the RWB. Prior to that, I had a brand new 1999 5th Gen which was an awesome bike. After putting a PC on the '07, it is now my favorite bike I've ever owned. Even though it is a 10 year design, it still looks great.

Yeah, there is just something about that RWB that I like. It just looks awesome. Of course I have a perfect 2000 that is done right so I should just be happy, lol.

I LIKE everything about my 07. Previous to this VFR if someone had told me that I would be owning a bike with white rims I would have told them they were nuts. I love the way this bike looks with them. Don't even mind wiping the brake dust off before every ride.:crazy:

Having had an 07 anniversary model, and now having a nearly mint condition 1998, I'd never want another 6th gen. I like most things about the 5th gen better, especially the engine and power delivery. The 07 had much better forks and more adjustment, but that's all I can honestly point to.
And the RWB are all over, Honda must have made thousands of them.

The RWB is almost as rare as his yellow 5th Gen. Of course they made thousands, but compared to the shear number of VFRs out there, especially in red, it is still pretty rare. It is definitely not the "norm".

CRFan1 - Do you know anybody who has a 6th Gen that will let you take it for a spin so that you can come to an educated decision based on what you like? Is there anybody on this forum in NW Indiana that can help out? Since you already have a 5th Gen, you could ride them back to back and you would know exactly what you like or dislike about each. If I was closer, I'd let you have mine for a day.

When I was looking for an Anniversary model, I had my choice of about 6 of them all either in my state (2 in Ohio) or a neighboring state. The one I bought came out of Pittsburgh. I base what I said on that because everywhere I looked there was a RWB VFR for sale, at that time. They are a beautiful bike though, I do not disagree with that. The styling is great....it never gets "old".
