The 2001 VFR's had a white faced tach. Will that tach fit and function in a 98? Anyone know?

Yes it will. The 2000 also had the same white tach. They ( 2000-2001) are the same part # from Honda - 37250-mbg-a01. The lower dash case assy (that's what Honda calls it) which the tach plugs into, and on the backside the wiring harness plugs into, is the same part # on the 98 and 2000-2001. # 37103-mbg-003. That means both tachs are plug and play.

I hope I made sense there.

But the 98 tach is a 37250-MBG-671.....I wonder if the difference from the 671 to the A01 is just the color?
