Took wheels & tires to local tire shop to mount & balance. They couldn't balance rear wheel due to the machined hole in the rear wheel, they needed a certain adapter, so I took it the next day to the Honda dealer, they had no problem doing it. Here's pics of said hole. Strange that the hole is not necessary as the hub doesn't actually go inside it, the wheel just seats against the hub. Why the hole??

I also have issues with tire shops not being able to put my 4th gen rear wheel on the balancer. Won't fit.

The last guy had to use some crazy static balancer thingy that looked like it belonged in the crusades

A tube is structurally stronger than a solid to certain loads.

Because men like holes! Sometimes even ass holes :potstir:

That is the most intelligent response I could muster up this early in the morning.

I had mine done a few weeks ago at our local Polaris/Victory/Triumph dealer. I changed the tires at work and brought them in to be balanced. Total was $42.00 for both. They have the adapters for SSA wheels. It was a static balance...

Dyna beads !! No need to balance the tires if you use them.. I was very skeptical for years but spoke to a few guys that use them and finally tried them last year and they work great and you dont need those ugly weights on your rims anymore.

Just to balance the rear was $15.00 at Honda dealer. The new rear tire was already mounted.

That's not to bad. I thought they might be ridicules. The $30 that I paid was for mount and balance.
