84 vf500 full fairing help

    Ok i got a full fairing off ebay and i need help figuring out how to mount it or if anyone knows where any reading material on mounting it is.

    Looking at your pictures, that's an addon lower fairing for the US version, that has a top half fairing only. It looks like the upper mounts connect to the upper fairings rear mounting points & the lower ones go to the belly fairing rear mounts !

    ok well i think its a spec 2 but it doesnt seem to bolt to the lower fairings holes

    can anybody help the guy at spec 2 is dick he said theres twenty dollar minimumand he wont help me out on the instructions unless i give him some money

    that doesn't look like a vf500 fairing.

    Here's where the mounting points should be. Also your upper fairing has been cut if I remember correctly.

    Yea its cut but i got a complete one coming in. heres a picture of a vf500 with the fariing i found tons like it. i also did find a pic where it looks like some one drilled a hole lower/

    I've got all the original instructions for the Spec II lower. I'll post them up later tonight or tomorrow morning. You're lucky you got the original hardware. Although the brackets are not the prettiest, if you spend some time adjusting and shortening some of the bolts and spacers (and maybe painting them black), you can get them to look pretty decent and hidden. Fine tuning them is the key to making the lowers integrate with the bike. BTW, mine is the R/W/B '86 above.

    Give the upper right bracket a bend to clear the radiator hose. Also grind the lowers a little to match the shape of the radiator covers and they will fit much better.

    Heres an update still needs alittle adjusting but looks pretty good just need to pick paint scheme.
