WOW, I'm surprised it would idle at all, even with the choke on.

Ok guys. Can yall give me the run down on what needs to be done? Tuning the fuel screws. Im about to go to the local honda shop and see how quick I can get these screws, if I can get them at all. Gosh, I get the feeling this is going to be really expensive... I need four of them right?

Oh yeah one more thing. After I got the bike idling I leaned it to put on the stand and it started to rev up really quick. Whats up with that?

Oh wow. Sorry guys but it looks like I'm wrong. And that could be a good thing.

I believe I do have the air/fuel screws. Turns out they are on the inner side of the carbs correct as seen in my photo here... image.jpg and here... image.jpg

Now that still leads me back to what is that big hole in the side of the carb that I thought was the air/fuel screw slot?

Hmmm, my air/fuel screws are on the outside of the carb body assembly and can be accessed and adjusted while the carbs are installed on the bike. I think the stock setting is 2 1/2 turns out from lightly seated.

I'm wondering if someone didn't previously completely disassemble the carbs from the plenum and switch them up... (Squirellman or Toe Cutter, what do you guys think?)

The "hole" you see on yours may just be a blank that wasn't drilled or tapped.

Yeah mine are definitely there and on the inside.

Still trying to find out what those holes are.

As you can see they are not threaded.

Ok so back to square one again. The jets are fine, I have the air/fuel screws, the bike starts but doesn't want to idle. It just dies unless the choke is fully engaged. When the bike leans over it revs up. Also there is a big ticking sound as the bike is running.

I'm not sure what to think about the air/fuel screw locations, but suspect it's not an issue.

Regarding the failure to idle without the choke on tells me that the idle/low speed circuits are obstructed resulting in a lean condition. Either the low speed jets/passages are still plugged, or the mixture screws are closed, or the passages are plugged.

Regarding the increased revs when leaned over, my first guess would be that the float level is wrong in at least one of the carbs.

Ok thanks! I have a friend that is a tech coming by. He is going to adjust the fuel air mixture screws and get everything synced.

If that doesn't do it then I'm going to yank the carbs again and do a second full rebuild an cleaning.
