    Hello Everyone!

I just want to say hi and post some pics of my 84 VF1000F. I picked this bike up last August and spent the winter repairing all the stuff that the previous owner "fixed" with duct tape, electrical tape, drywall screws etc.

Welcome to our crazy little world. What sized straight jacket and ankle chains do you wear?? The previous owner must have been a real idiot because everyone knows that sheet metal screws work better.

Thanks guys! So far everyone tells me im nuts for getting a 29 year old bike but, after a lot of TLC this thing runs GREAT!! I do have to admit I was real worried after I started reading about the cam issues but after several months of research and LOTS of tums I bit the bullet and made my own topend oil mod. Time will tell if it is the same results as the ones avaliable online. The mufflers are custom made from stainless steel, (as is the oil mod) belly fairing is a combination of fiberglass and aluminum, custom decals I cut by hand and lastly lots and lots of time! My wife was glad when I finaly finished it so that we get more time together.

I ride mine almost daily, haven't had any major issues, other than what you'd expect from a 30 year old bike.
