Yet Another Sticky Throttle Thread (throttle drum, anyway)

I know everyone's probably tired of these sticky-throttle threads, but I believe my problem to be a little different. My throttle closes VERY slowly, and it probably is at the throttle drum. I have disconnected the cables from it altogether and when I turn the drum by hand, it takes about 2-3 seconds to close again. This ISN'T normal, right?

The bike has sat for a bit, and before I discovered this, I had gone through and disassembled my start/stop switch, cleaned it all up, lubed and adjusted the throttle cables (free play, upper adjuster, lower adjuster, etc.), even replaced the throttle cables altogether. Initial problem was free cruise control/sticking throttle while riding.

Yes, I have a Clymer manual and a factory service manual, and also converted the online manual to a searchable .pdf and STILL can't find anything about it. Is there anything else that I should be checking?

Anyone have a source for the throttle return springs on the carburetors? I don't see that Honda sells this individually, but I'm sure that's the issue. That, or perhaps it's the slider springs. Again, don't see that they're available from Honda. Would that make for a slow-closing throttle, all else being correctly routed/adjusted/lubricated?

Never mind. I sprayed some carburetor cleaner down the throttle bodies on a whim, flicked the throttle back and forth a few times, and all is snappy again! You don't know how happy I am right now. This has been bugging me for a couple weeks because I followed the cable routing/lubing procedure to a T!
