Technically, the 500 isn't a VFR, but it is still an Interceptor, so I thought I would post some images of mine. I found this bike about 4 years ago with just 600 miles on the odometer!

I bought it from the original owner, but the bike was a complete mess. It was in storage since 1987 with gas left in the tank. Over the years the gas rotted through the petcock seals, dripped all over the engine / frame and the tank had rust all throughout.

To make things worse, the bike wasn't covered and was used as a stand to lean things against. There wasn't one piece of bodywork that wasn't marked up. Also, after so many years of being in storage uncovered, the dust turns to more like a grease and covered every inch of the bike.

I completely tore this bike down to the frame and detailed every piece of it. I put on a top-end oiling kit, a new gas tank, new OEM bodywork, powder coated the rims white and added a Lockhart full faring that I had purchased for an earlier 500 that I owned way back in 1991.

It took about 1.5 years to complete, but this bike is now truly immaculate. With only 600 miles on the original odometer, I knew that underneath that ugly duckling was a beauty. I do ride the bike and now have about 5000 miles on it. Check out my photo gallery for more images.

Wow, you do great work. Technically, the 6 gen by name is not a VFR either.

I love when someone saves a bike from a slow rotting death.
