    Hi Everyone,

I have been pre-approved and am purchasing a 07 VFR 800 candy red on Friday with Leo Vinci pipes, Honda saddlebags, Heli Bars and ASV levers. I have historically been a cruiser guy but have been without a bike about three years. The VFR has always been close to my heart and a very attractive bike due to it's sport bike stance and sport touring feel. I am looking at the VFR as a excellent work commuter. I have loved being a member of forums in the past for past bikes and trucks. Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning all I can concerning this bike. Obviously I will take whatever advice I can get from yo concerning a 07.

    Very excited,
    Jeff

Very nice. The OEM hard cases are a great addition. If it hasn't already been done, then the first thing I'd do is install a PCV to clean up the FI issues. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

@stewartj239 Is this the modification I posted in the thread above? Is there a good post you can point me to for member modifications to improve performance. I have yet to find a sticky / FAQ thread on this site.

The PCV is the Power Commander FI module which eliminates the FI issues with the 6th Gen. Here is a link to a bunch of updates that I did to my bike a couple of winters ago. I think the PCV stuff starts on the second page. I did not do the pair valve / flapper modification. I wanted to try the PCV first and that has taken care of the performance problems. So when do you pick up the bike?

    Hey Jeff

Welcome to the site and congrats on your new purchase. The VFR looks just awesome in that red. If I were to purchase a 6th gen or repaint my 5th gen at some point, that would be the color I think. The stock hard bags look really good along with the bike and it looks as though it has aftermarket exhaust as well. Bet she sounds wicked.

It looks great. Are you leaving the hard cases off (for now)? If you didn't want them, they'd be any easy sell.
