So i put one on my vfr last night as I typically ride 25 miles each way to work several times a week. The Vista Cruise was cheap but took about 2 hours of filing/cutting and re-trying. I also had to cut the thumb lever half as long so it didn't touch the gas tank at full turn. It was a great addition for the money. I don't like the end of the bar locks and this one handed solution does work great and allows you to rest your throttle hand when you need to.

    aloha,

I have been using a vista cruise on all my bikes(past and present)(street). I also find it a very good investment
for the money and my purposes. I have a universal model on my 98' VTR and a standard on on my 87' VFR.

I do not have contact with my tank on both(though it is very close). To be honest, I never thought about
trimming the thumb lever. It is a good idea. I ended up attaching the c/control to the starter switch(one half)
so it can be removed with the housing should I need to(I have a spare housing also if needed) on the VFR.

Really helps on the staright aways while doing the around the island cruises. Also those times when you need
    to rest/relax your hand.
