    1) "Hense" is not a word.

    2) Changing from mineral to synthetic oil is about as much of a mod as putting on Power Pure tyres instead of whatever shitty OEM tyres came with the bike. It is not a mod at all.

You're RIGHT! Thanks.. My spelling and typing take a dump as the night progresses and the drinks come more often.

There is no rule that states that a mod must be expensive, radical or involved. So i think this is a mod however slight.

1.) "Mod" is not a word. Neither is it an abbreviation in the truest sense.

2.) Moidol is a compound created by blending appropriate quantities of synthetic and dino oils in a heated sonic cleaner. No heat = no molecular action. (Kizer, half-ass advice is not beneficial)

3.) Moidol is an anagram for oil mod, which would make me an anagrammatist, were it not for the fact that mod is not a word, and therefore moidol is not a true anagram.

I purchased a large personal stock of Slick 50 before the government closed them down (The gov killed Slick 50 as a way to support the auto industry by ensuring that engines would not last beyond their planned obsolescence schedule). Anyway, over the years, I've come up with Slick 50 blending processes for both dino and synthetic that enable me to extend oil change intervals to 15 years. I'll post more later when I have time.

Cool. Lots of good info. I look forward to a follow up when you have more time. Even if it latsts for 15 year intervals, I would prolly <-- not a word, opt to use a scotts SS filter and do five year change intervals.
But first you need to share recipe.

    Hey, happy to help!

My sonic cleaner broke years ago. I think it wasn't intended for use in a 200° oven.

I'm currently just mixing the dino and synthetic oil 50/50 in my beer kettle and heating it on the stovetop. When it gets hot, I chainsmoke a few cigs while holding my face right next to the pot and screaming at the top of my lungs. The cigs make me hoarse, which I think improves the sonic effect. I can't tell any difference between the moidol I made in the sonic cleaner vs the stuff I now make in the pot, so it must be working.

I mix the 50/50 moidol 50/50 with slick 50, and that's it. I'm convinced it's capable of 15 year intervals, but I'm on a string of bad luck with engines, and haven't had one last more than 3 years since i first started this experiment. My current motor seems strong, so I'm hoping for some hard data in the next several years.

You should really consider the amsoil bypass oil filter system. It's a dual filter system that is guaranteed to run all the oil through a 5 micron filter every hour of operation. I mounted the 2nd filter on top of my clutch master cylinder (epoxy), and painted it blaze orange so people would notice it. The way i see it, every time someone asks me what that thing is on my bike, it's an opportunity for me to educate another person about the dollar savings and environmental benefit of extended drain intervals.

YMMV. Let us know what you end up going with.

How pig of a pot for stovetop sonic cooking. Assume it has to be large enough to have kinda an echo affect to get he sonic waves to penetrate the oil?

Sorry to hear about the strng of bad engines. You think these guys could build somethng that would last the life of the oil.
Thanks for the heads up on the bypass oil filter system that aounds like a neat alternative to the standard OEM filter offerings. M getti. So much nformation lots of reading to do.

I'll keep people posted as to what I end up with.

    I know...exactly! It's good to find a kindred spirit!

My beer pot is 3 gallon capacity. I put 4 qts each of dino and synthetic and bring it to a near boil before I light the 1st cig.

    Good luck! :potstir:

    I put Mobil 5W50 and X-1R, 3%
Forget that "rude" attitude of the V4.
More GROWL and a minor but noticeable fuel economy.
