    Hi folks
I am 57 and last august I bought a used 750 VFR 86 to start biking, am a learner and used my bike during winter until I couldn't feel my fingers anymore... I live in Zurich, Switzerland

I still don't know how it feels riding in summer time when you sweat in that leather overall..

I'll find out as soon as the snow gets away and the air gets warmer.

Glad to have dropped on this page by coincidence.

Have fun, God bless all of us.

    Marcus

Hey Marcus,.....welcome to the site and the VFR Brotherhood. It's a great bike to own,.....and the VFR continues to receive rave reviews in articles that highlight the best bikes of the past 20-25 years. Of course,....living in Zurich,......your scenery is a lot more beautiful to look at while riding then the northeast corner of Kansas where I am. Maybe you can do the GoPro thing and throw a video up on YouTube. That way we'll all know what it's like to take a bike ride around the Zurich area. Ron

    Hi Marcus
Nice to hear that some "old guys" are still in action (I'm 55 years old). Living in Portugal, my problem is, as oposite to yours, riding most part of the year with high temperatures. Nice country, Switzerland, nice S roads.
    Keep on the good rides.
    Best regards

Welcome fellow 57ner. We are waiting for pictures of your ride.

Some advice for wearing leathers in the summer heat. They can be a bitch to get off after you have sweated in them. They tend to be a little on the warm side also. I don't know if you have it over there, but I wear "Under Armour Heat Gear" under my suits. It is form fitting athletic clothing. I use both the top and bottoms. This stuff actually keeps you cool even in the hot weather so long as you are moving. It does not have to be really fast either. When wearing these, your leather go on and off really easy even when wet.
