Great question, I've just got a magnetic map holder from Aerostich that fits great but would like a magnetic tank bag that fits well and is not to tall.

I have the Cortech Dryver small on mine. I like the quick detach. When it's clicked in place, it is very solid.

    i have a givi t480 GIVI T480 TANKLOCK - Soft Luggages

Its been a pretty good bag so far. I like the fact that it doesn't touch the tank. I used it to haul a pretty good bit of stuff around.

Only turn off is that it sits up pretty high. I like it since i just lean on it when i am running down the slab.

Great, thank you all for the recommendations. Please keep them coming.

Sounds like the best option is a "tank lock" type bag.

I almost always have either the Givi V46 or E55 on the VFR, so don't use the tank bag very often, mostly only when I need to use the map pocket that attaches to the Dryver bag. I, too, like the tank lock type don't touch the tank surface. The VFR1200's plastics tank "wings" doesn't work with some magnetic tank bags, either.

I like the GIVI tank lock bags too, but since I have a bad habit of changing bike quite often, the dryver tank rings are cheaper if I have to buy a new ring. The Dryver mount allow the bag to be adjused fore and aft quite a way.
