Chased my buddy through some twisties (he was on the 910R). The '00 VFR is seriously a great bike - so totally underrated and undervalued in my opinion.

Have to keep this one for sure...26K miles and she still purrs like a kitten, 3rd/4th gear rocketship in the mountains.

Any sportbike can carve a twisty road, but the VFR is one of the few that can do so without breaking your back in the process. Plus the acceleration out of corners is just nuts. I had what would have been 150+ miles of fantastic roads cut short yesterday when the leader of my group went down, but thankfully he's only got a few scrapes, and his bike is probably repairable. We even managed to stave off rain until we'd all stopped for lunch! I'm definitely thinking new tires after yesterday though, the rear of my bike was moving around in corners I didn't think I was pushing hard in at all.

Yes, the 5th Gen is a great bike. I owned a new one back in '99 that a friend of mine now owns. It is still running strong.

Yep - love the bike. I have several to chose from when I ride and the VFR keeps making it to the top of the list when I go!!!
