Looks like I should finally be receiving my Rapid Bike 2 Module and accessories today. I've been waiting for about two months now, but the tracking information says that it's finally in town. My bike has been on a month long 93 octane dialysis prepping for more ignition lol, also I put on Sato rear sets and and a Factory Pro shift kit last month, so the rapid bike shift kit is really going to bring everything together.

Here's a few pics from the Factory Pro Shift Kit install I did last month. Sorry I lost the pics of the actual Factory Pro parts in the bike.

I'm not sure how much the Factory Pro shift kit helped, but with the Sato rear sets, shifting is fucking sweet. Finding neutral is a bitch now though, and I am still getting used to gp shift, but all in all its awesome. I gave up on the power commander with toe mounted quick shift set up. It worked, but it was unreliable, annoying and didn't help at all on the track. Also as an added bonus, Rapid Bike says that advancing the ignition on our bike is worth 8% more hp from around 5000 rpms to red line! I'll take it!

It was a quick install of the rapid bike unit. Basically it just plugged into the the same grey fuel harness as the power commander. The only difference is the added ignition control, which taps in to the little red 2 wire connection right next to grey ones.

anxious for an update as to the difference you notice in regards to comparing it to the power commander. making me regret getting the PC5. well my friend is looking to purchase one so i might give him a good deal on mine and get one of these for my viffer instead.

Power commander $285 rapid bike $245
PC fuel only RB fuel and ignition
PC no has no pit lane limiter/launch control or rpm extension, RB Does

But the rapid bike took like 2 months to get and PC is cake to get and tune.
Also rapid bike converted my pc map for me and added some ignition, but well see how hard finding a tuner/dyno will prove...

I'm gonna take her for a spin later today and see how well the quick shifter and everything working, or if I need to program it still.

yea shortly after you posted this the other day i downloaded all the info i could on it and read myself to sleep last night on the pdf files. love the adjustability options it offers over the ignition. great 3d mapping and such but was a little troubled over not being able to gain access to any mapping such as PC3 & 5 maps. but did read the disclaimer they wrote as to why the maps werent available. also like the email link there tech can troubleshoot thru linking to your laptop over the internet.
really suprised in all my searching i didnt find this company before i purchased my pc5.
i will also have to ask my dyno guy if his equipment is compatible with this also. they mainly tune harleys there in the black hills and are a registered dynotune products retailer/tuner.
regardless i think i can make it work also by printing out and saving the current map im using from the pc5 and matching them up under the custom section and giving myself a baseline to start with and make subtle timing changes.
but glad to know they provided you a starting map with their recomended timing alterations and can have that done myself. im 99% positive my buddy will buy the pc5 off me and i will take a 50 dollar loss on it and the auto-tune module just to get it sold.

also with the autotune i have a solid baseline to go off of for my elevation were i live at. i know the pc5 turned my viffer into a totally different machine. it is as smooth as silk riding it now compared to when 1st purchased it. i 1st installed it with a downloable map and ran it but it still had few flat spots but after i installed the auto tune module it cleared right up and didnt miss a heartbeat.

That's good that you will have a good fuel map to start from.

I just took the bike for a spin. it does run, so that is a plus lol, but rapid bike did not load the quick shifter settings, so I will have to sort through that now. But, it does feel like my fuel map from my power commander was successfully loaded into the rapid bike, though, which is another plus. I am gonna start looking through the software now and see if they actually advanced my ignition map, and then start setting up the quickshifter settings.

hmmm took you 2 months 2 get this tho? well then i think im going to commit to getting one even tho you havent really mentioned wether you think its any better then the dynjet tuning hardware. i understand you've not had adequate time to evaluate it but i know having the timing adjustability over the pc5 is what ive been looking for all along, and will accomodate my future add ons better such as my cams i sent out. i gotta get back to the garage and get motivated and finish my removal of the flash casting in the heads and start the bowl blend on my heads.
i know im sinking way more money into this project of mine then it (bike) will be worth resale value but thats the name of the game when one wants somthing unique setting it apart from all the rest.
wished we had a track close by here in SD but we dont so my twisties consist of blasting through the black hills now and then soaking up what tourists come to see here yearly.
thats primarily why ive set mine up for straight line performance, but the previous owner made all the suspension mods such as ohlin rear and front alterations also. so it is track capable but we dont get much chance here other then blasting thru the pines.
keep us informed on your progress tho. i look forward to reading it.

Yeah, this Rapid Bike software is ridiculous (in a good way, I just have no idea what to do with it yet). The Rapid Bike stuff looks like its set up for a professional engine builder to work on and makes the power commander stuff look like a "tuning for dummies" program in comparison. I did find the quickshifter settings and alternate maps relatively easily, but I am still having trouble pulling up the map that is already in the Rapid Bike module. I am sure that I will figure out the software eventually. I will put up some screen shots in a little bit.

Here is the Rapid Bike and six foot extension cord for the 4 pin connection. (Tell me that wont come in handy!):

This little doohicky is awesome. With this you can pull the Rapid Bike module out of your bike but leave the harness connected, in literally one minute. (try doing that with a power commander!) This way you can take your Rapid Bike module inside your home to tune or test it or send away, or to put your bike in valet stock mode lol:

This is the 20 pin to 4 pin adapter so that you can plug the rapid bike module into your computer when the rapid bike module is not currently in your bike:

And, finally, here you can see the Rapid Bike plugged into my laptop:
