    Hey everyone!!!!!

New to the forum thought I'd introduce myself. Im Ray.

Just picked up my 2000 VFR800 today, traded off my m50 suzuki on it. Really wanted to get one after having a VTR1000 firestorm last summer. it was a pile, 70k km and laid down a lot of times by the previous owner, so i got rid of that and decided to find something nice. Just hope the VFR has that intoxicating sound the VTR had once I put a pipe on it. If anyone can reommend a pipe with a nice deep sound to it I'm all ears!

Welcome to the forum. How's the Briar going? My cousin is there right now watching all the excitement. He arrived there all the way from Winterpeg Manitscolditoldya. Soon enough, you will be able to ride that sucker and scrape the bugs off when you are done.

The best pipe is a Vance & Hines SS2R, if you can find one. Love it on my 98 :) soon to be on my 00.

    Thanks for the welcomes guys!

Curling is not my cup of tea, I never checked out the brier but apparently the beer gardens there are a blast.

had the v&h ss2r's on the VTR, amazing sound from those bikes. Porbably go two bros. I don't think I can justify the Staintune money unless it comes with some :boobies5:

Welcome to the world and congrats on the new purchase. You will surely come to enjoy the VFR as much as the rest of us have. Only downside is you may now be spoiled to any other kind of bike. LOL

The two brothers cans are really nice though I have heard a few comments on the fact that they can be loud. If you want a link pipe for a typical slip on you should be able to buy a link pipe from DelkevicUSA or Hindle and then be able get just about any slip on can you like. I have a Delkevic 18" slip on and for the cost it was really hard to beat. I have heard a post on here from a guy on this site that purchased a CF shorty slip on from Delkevic and it sounded really good. If you check Delkevic's website directly they don't list any pipes available for the 98-2001 VFR800 but they seem to have quite a few listed on their eBay store.

Here is a link an older post that has some exhaust sound clips of a few of the various slip-ons. Have a listen.

Once again, congrats on the purchase and hopefully the riding season starts soon.

Well I got this bad boy out for the first time this afternoon, and I'm in love <3
Roads here are still absolute shit so I had to baby it more than a little, but never the less was very impressed with my fist go round.
It's so responsive, and the torque, just an incredible feeling. Everything I thought that I would miss about my old bikes just doesn't matter anymore. The only thing maybe is although the exhaust is music, to me the music isn't as good as the 98 VTR I was on before.

    Congrats on the bike!!

You'll enjoy the sound when you get a pipe. But you can't tell me those Gear Driven Cams aren't making you go from 6 to midnight
