Hey guys and gals. Purchased my red 99 last winter and I'm so happy with it! Everyone I ride with are on new stuff but this bike is perfect for me. Looking forward to reading your posts and making some of my own!

Congratulations on the new bike and I'm sure you will live to enjoy it. You may even find you convert a few friends if you decide to trade with a buddy while on a ride. Happened to me. Went for a ride with a few friends and swapped with a buddy for a short while. He took my VFR750 for about 100 km's and I rode his CBR. I had a heck of a time getting him to give my bike back. About a month later he showed up at my place with a brand new 6th gen.

Don't forget to post up some photos of the new ride.

I bought the same bike (new) back in '99. Even though I replaced it with my '07, it certainly doesn't give much (if anything) away to the newer bikes. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the site. Lots of great info on here. Thats a pretty bike there. I can help you out on that pipe though. I will send you my oem proper legal pipe and you send me yours. Just kidding. That pipe looks real good on there. Is that a delkevic? It looks like a fmf apex but i cant see any fmf logo.

You picked it off, it's a Delkevic but I still have the OEM. Couldn't beat the price and it sounds great.
