No clutch downshift with Quick Shifter?

    Have been told that this is not possible but trust me it is. I can smoothly shift back down through the cogs to 2nd with no clutch at varying speeds. Anyone else do this?

    yeah, but there's no real need to do it on a bike like this, on the street....on an MX bike, sure, all the time....I upshift the VFR all the time without the clutch, and can't say i haven't downshifted it in the upper gears, but it's rough on the hardware if you don't hit it just right

    No it's different to a race bash & replace, what I am actually saying is that it is not at all rough with the QS even though it is a PUSH unit it appears to work in both directions. If it was a harsh shift I wouldn't be doing it. It's like having paddles at your foot. Weird huh!

    Since clutchless downshifting without a QS is possible, why shouldn't it with one?

    I think you are missing the point I am trying to make, I don't have to time it or blip, just shift, no banging, smooth as an auto.
