The tab located near where your right toe rests, is snapped off of the engine case. The PO had epoxied it on and has now come loose. What is the best way to repair this , just short of new engine cases? Is there a better epoxy? Clarification, it is the aluminum tab on the 'oil pan'. A steel 'L' bend bracket attaches to this and the fairing bolts to the 'L' bracket. With the R/H fairing off, locate the oil site glass. Just below that is an oil cooler line. It starts out rubber (braided covering) then feeds into a steel tube out to the oil cooler. Just at the point where it goes from rubber pressure line to steel is where the body work tab juts out from the oil pan. Roughly six inches forward of the oil sight glass. The snapped off piece looks like porous metal. Can't be welded. Hence, I am looking for a user tested high temp epoxy solution. Quite possibly 3M Scotch-Weld DP-420.
If I understand this correctly, the tab on the plastic broke, right? If yes, then see if you can 'weld' it..
