    Hey 2007

Not wanting to be a pain or nothing but was just curious if you were still interested in swapping the helibars for the stcok clip-ons. I can see from a few of your other posts that you likely don't want the stock exhaust (you probably wouldn't like the sound any way) so I was just curious about the bars.

Did you ever come to a decision about the rear cowl? Just curious.

I can't make a decision on the heli bars until I ride the bike, which I haven't done yet. Until I do that, I can't say for sure if I like them or not.
Sorry zoom zoom, I know you are interested in them and doing a trade.

The bike has a sweet set of Pazzo Racing Levers on it....I love them.

Sorry 2007. Wasn't sure if you had had a chance to ride or not. Ran my bike out of the garage yesterday, started her up and let her run for a few minutes while my son sat on the seat and pretended to be Ricky Racer.

On a side note, I was looking at the pics of the bike on your trailer again, partly to take a look at the Pazzo levers you mentioned (might have to look in to a set of those) but I noticed that the right bar looks as though the bar end weight is missing. Was it there when you bought the bike or had the previous owner removed it for some reason.

Anyhow, hope things are well and have a great weekend.

It was left off because grips were changed and the bar end caused the throttle to stick. Trimming the grip is the simple solution, which he didn't do but I will, and the guy gave me the bar end.

    Nice looking bike!

The '00-'01 mirrors (Y2K) will need the rubber gasket, the '98-'99 didn't have one. You could cut one from a thin piece of rubber yourself or buy the OEM from Honda.

Looks like a great buy for the price, welcome!!

Are those EMGO ones the same position on the bike as the OEM ones on a 98 VFR? I really like how the OEM mirrors sit and location of them make seeing behind a breeze.

Yup, they are identical to the 00-01 mirrors. And the only difference between the 98-99 & 00-01 are those stupid condoms the put on the stalks. I should also note that you will need 2 Honda Part# 71-88113-MBG-D00 Rubber Mirror Base and 4 6X16 socket head capscrews that you can get from the hardware store. I went with parkerized, but I think that stainless would be better. The parkerized ones keeps getting rust on them.

I'll go outside and snap a pic in a few.

You can see waht I mean about the parkerized capscrews rusting. I really need to take them out and replace them with stainless.
