Hi all, After an 18 year gap from being a dirty motorcyclist, I'm back with my favourite bike line.
My 2001 VFR has 61000km and needs a few updates.
Does any one know a good place in Sydney for replacement fork springs and valve upgrade where it won't cost me my marrige?
I also seem to have a very abrupt throttle response from idle and in first gear corners/rounabouts.
I love the bike, it pulls like a train and sounds great with a Staintune pipe and K&N high flow filter, but it is a bit touchy down low.
Any ideas? I,m pretty good with the tools and feel comfortable doing my own work.
    Cheers, Gus.

Race Tech is the spot in the U.S. for valves and springs. Sorry, can't help you in Sydney.

On the throttle response, did you install a power comander when you added the Staintune's and K&N? Your fuel to air has changed so you may need a new fuel map.

If you did all this, then ignore me, because I am of no help! Good Luck and welcome to the madness!

Welcome to the World Mate! Before you get an earful, you may want to post some pics of your ride, it is customary for newbies to post pics with their introduction. That being said, I don't know of any place in OZ, but a lot of us forum members have gone to Daugherty Motorsports - Motorcycle Suspension Performance and Modification for our suspension needs and for a lot less than the cost of a divorce. Jamie is a forum member and has a great reputation. Not sure what the shipping would be but if you can't find someone local, you may check out his website. As far as your low speed "Stumble", the DynoJet Power Commander seems to be the ticket for most of us as.

    Cheers!

It's a Staintune stainless pipe, deep and loud. Neighbour hates it....oh well.

Nice ride. Welcome to the forums. You always have the option of getting the racetech springs shipped to Australia.. Not sure how expensive the shipping is, but it might be still cheaper to go that route compared to what some of the aussie dealers are charging for some of these parts..

I love the looks of that high mount staintune. Very nice looking bike. Looks just like the one in my garage.
