    I too prefer to keep the fender mostly intact. i didn't like the lower added-on bracket though. That and the spacer block for the license plate light seem like an afterthought, so I removed them.

    I had a fender eliminator bracket for another lying around, So I hacked it up and bent it to the angle I like and it bolted right up. I reused the two round reflectors to get a more OEM look.

    Why cant we just have a partial rounded fender slopping down from under the tail light (old school style)---That looks like a freekin bird beak sticking out that far---JMO---just sayin

    I guess it depends on how you view the VFR1200. If it is a sportbike to you, then that fender is an eye sore. For those of us who regard it more as a sport tourer, having a good size rear fender is a good thing.

    There is no right or wrong way to look at it. But it is part of Viffer Grande's identity crisis.

    there's something about a factory fit and finish that i like...no matter how nicely done, i feel most visual mods take away from a bike's charactor ...i put a Honda CF license plate frame on it (order as a CBR part) and i think the stock setup looks fine....i have heavily modded some bikes in the past...now i like to keep them looking relatively stock

    I didn't post pics of it because I wanted people to ooohh and ahhh over it, I just posted what I did incase someone didn't have the funds or want to spend money. I figured if I f'd it up, it wasn't like I was ever gonna put it back on...so why not?

    I did however put on an exahust and love how it looks/sounds and here are 2 pics of the Two Bros.

    Also, did anyone else ever feel like their bike had a lot more power after the first oil change? When I picked up my 2010 CBR600rr and my 2012 VFR1200f it felt like a totally different bike. Maybe it was just me not riding it really hard before that first oil change but man, what a difference IMO.

    I love the look of the can, it's just too bad it covers so much of the rear wheel. You should saw about 4" out of it and reinstall. That would be tits!

    Akro is nice. I would imagine crazy glue would work on carbon fiber, but why would you need it? To shorten the can you should only need to drill out the rivets then saw off whatever length you want. I am about to do just that to my TwoBro Titanium M5 to make clearance for the Givi V35 panniers. Already removed the thin aluminum decal with dental floss. I could reattach it afterwards, but I probably won't.

    Wow, that looks really good. That's a nice angle shot, especially with that stubby can on there. Is that a Werkes exhaust? Well now you've done it. I'm gonna have to have a look at mine and see if that would create any conflicts with my Givi side case brackets which do connect right behind the license plate bracket. I feel a weekend project coming on. ;-}

    Yep. The pipe is a Werkes in Black Velvet.
    The CW fender kit claims that panniers would not be affected but I'm sure they were talking about OEM bags. I know a lot of folks try to save some bucks by simply getting the hack-saw out but it took all of 20 minutes to put this mod in and it made a really big difference in the back end looks. The fat rear tire is much more visible now.

    Looks really good from that angle.

    Probably so, but the Givi cases have a brace that runs from the right bracket to the left to help stabilize them. It runs right behind the license plate, but doesn't actually attach to anything on the bike at that point.

    Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like that whole bottom section just unbolts. So is there some reason one can't just unbolt that lower section, remove the reflector above it and fab a license bracket to bolt in its place, then remove that big silly extension on the license lamp? It looks pretty straightforward, but I haven't actually tried to take it apart yet. Hacksaw??

    Agreed. It does look really good. I've seen a few I couldn't say the same about.

    Comp werkes FE is worth it. It's not that expensive and the product is about as good as it's going to get if you want to retain OEM bag support.
