LOL, no biggie. According to my wife, I'm never right, so I had to gloat.

More importantly though, is I think you are on your way to solving your problem. These bikes are known to run hot. Hell, even in 40* temps I'll average around 180*. I didn't check the Bay Area weather, but if you're not seeing temps about 180, you're definitely running cool.

Good luck in getting it all sorted out!

ARGH!!!! I tore the bike down to the thermostat. Sure enough it's stuck open, I'd say all the way. So I'm putting things back, right when I get to the airbox I notice one of the sleeves keeps coming up on the throttle body. Tried to keep it down my putting my weight on it, next thing you know the insulator band on the throttle body ports breaks when I'm tighening it. Dont think I had it lined up right, then the 2 allen bolts on the throttle cable bracket strip on me. Down for a week over 4 dollars in parts. Just bought new oil and filter and coolant, was so ready to go for a nice ride. It's been in the low 70's here in NORCAL. Where do most of you guys order parts for your bike? I've been going to partzilla.com but they take a week to ship. I need to find a spanner wrench to adjsut my chain. Well just an update. Hope everyone else is having a fun weekend. Time for a drink one more thing, the manual says to use oil to lube the sleeves to the intake ports. What kind of oil? jsut regular engine oil? Figure I am going to take my sweet as time next week and get'er done right.
