There's a clean 1985 VF1000 on ebay now with 22K miles listed for $1,850.00. I would have guessed that it would be worth double that. I have one in clean, good condition with 14K miles. I put it on Craigs List a few years ago for $4,000 and got a few calls, but later I decided not to show it or sell it. I'm going to sell it this spring. Any ideas as to how I can determine the fair market value of this bike? Thanks for your help, Bob Meehan
If you notice that what the starting list is. Says RESERVE price not met. No way it's going for 1850. Most likely some where around 4k and up. Ones in mint shape will bring the money kind of. It's a niche bike so you may have to wait awhile for a buyer.
Just as a reference, last fall, I sold a stock '86 in excellent condition with less than 4K miles for $5250. If I held out, I might have been able to get more, but probably not much more.
