Looking for a dash/instruments to put on my backup ride (87 700F). Anyone know if this one would work?Tachometer for Honda RVF400 RVF 400 RVF400RR NC35 35 | eBay

I dont expect it to plug and play, and would have to fabricate mounting hardware, but can it be done? Dont know if the RVF400 had a mechanical speedo, and how the tach set up worked. I have a pretty beat up stock dash that I could use, but I really hate the look of the '87 dash. Reminds me too much of the dash on my 86 Mercury Lynx. Also thinking of going with some other variation on the fairing. Ive seen some pretty reasonable Chinese plastic available for the RVF400. Anyone know if that could be made to fit?

To add fuel to the fire, maybe you could use a VF1000R dash? Similar look to the RVF400 but tach is already for a 4 cyl engine. Just thinking out loud.

I hadn't thought of that option...Probably an easier adaptation too. The RVF 400 was a 4 cylinder BTW...
