Russia seems to be a target for meteors, they've had some pretty big ones within the past few hundred years. Also, what is it about cameras in Russian cars?, I see a lot of videos on YouTube that are from Russia and most are "dash cam" vids? I think I'm going to start putting my GoPro in my car, you never know what kind of footage you can capture, that was pretty sweet what the car camera captured.

Just heard about this on the news on my way to work and they played audio of the sound of the explosion from 50 miles away (from what the announcer said anyhow) and it was really loud. It was almost as someone cranked the stereo in the car to its max setting (I was a bit shocked). Just watched the video on a local news website and saw the same footage as the one from the car. Truly incredible to see, but I bet the owner of that car was wondering WTF. "There I was, driving to work, wondering what interesting things today will bring, when out of nowhere a bright ball of flame lights up the sky, and reminds me I forgot to take a crap after breakfast (never mind, were good, crap accomplished) and now I need to find a restroom.

A co-worker of mine is from Russia and he said everyone has dash cameras and a decemt amount are standard equipment with the cars imported from Japan. He also stated that the American version of the same car that these cameras come in standard are not even options in the US. Most people have them for self protection for accidents and crooked cops.

Video is crazy. I would have gone to work int he morning hearing about DA14 (I Think) passing by in approximately 12 hours and then see this show up in the morning... I would have thought it was going to be a direct hit and they pushed the impact time out a few hours to avoid chaos!
