Hi guys, just a quick one. When I pull the clutch lever in on my vfr 800 I get a clicking noise from what sounds like the instrument panel or near the front of the tank. My guess is that it's a worn clutch switch and a relay making the noise? Anyone else had this and is it an easy fix. Thanks.
How many miles on the bike and is it the original clutch pack in the bike? How old is the clutch fluid?
Hi Coxson, I have the same noise and it only started yesterday. Have posted in a local site but as yet no answers. I have tracked it down and it doesn't happen in neutral or with the ignition off, so it has to be a relay or a switch. My bike is a 2000 with 52K kms. Hoping it is a simple fix. If it stops you riding you can remove the screw from the clutch switch under the base of the clutch master cylinder and then the switch will not operate, this will mean you can start with the bike in gear and the clutch out so you need to be careful of that.
